The Nordica Trio will perform works by Armenian composers plus the world premiere of a piece composed for the Nordica Trio using Armenian themes by Maine composer, Titus Abbot. The concert is under the auspices of the Armenian Cultural Society of Maine in support of Armenian Remembrance Day , which is observed each year on April 24. This is an event in history that many Americans are unaware of. This concert will take place at the Portland Conservatory of Music on April 23, 2023. Time: TBA

The Nordica Trio will perform a concert of works by Armenian composers plus the “Contrasts” by Béla Bartók on April 28, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. in Nordica Auditorium, on the campus of the University of Maine at Farmington. This concert is sponsored by ArtsFarmington. UMF students and people under the age of 18 may attend free of charge.

Trio for Clarinet, Violin and Piano (1932) by Aram Khachaturian

Contrasts for Violin, Clarinet and Pianoforte by Béla Bartók (Written for and dedicated to Benny Goodman and Joseph Szigeti)

Suite for Trio (Violin, Clarinet and Piano) (1992) by Alexander Arutiunian

These are the works that will be recorded in August for a spring 2024 release by Somm Recordings.
